Equipment
Headgear
You’ll be playing in industry standard safety masks and goggles specifically designed for paintball. If you wear a skullcap or rock a reverse hat, today’s the day.
You can wear camo overalls from us or wear your own gear out on the field.
You will be playing with a semi automatic paintball gun with a hopper capacity of about 200 paintballs. The marker will fire as fast as you can pull the trigger.
Padded vests provided upon request.
Ammo
For the more experienced paintballer, we provide pods and carriers on request. Each pod carries 100 paintballs.
what to wear
Clothing
If you plan on wearing some of our overalls, we recommend light shorts and top to wear underneath. Bring your own clothes and go merc, the paint washes out.
Footwear
Sturdy shoes or boots that you don’t mind getting dirty. No thongs or open footwear please.
Gloves
If you have some gloves that you use for outdoor activities you might want to use ’em here.
what to bring
If you have your own camo outfit, mask or marker bring them with you. Subject to a safety inspection by the Skirmish SA team you will be allowed run your own kit.
Comfortable closed shoes like running shoes or hiking boots. No thongs or open footwear please.
If you have your own camoflauge clothing, you are welcome to use it.
If you have your own paintball marker or mask, you are welcome to use it provided they are checked and approved by one of the Skirmish SA referees.
- Your marker will also need to undergo a velocity check and must set to fire at less than 280 feet per second.
Directions
Adelaide to Skirmish SA
Depart Adelaide via the South Eastern freeway and travel for approximately 53km.
Turn off the freeway at the Callington exit and turn left at the T-junction, heading towards Strathalbyn.
After about 8km you will see a church ruin on the left, turn left here onto Chaunceys Line Rd.
Follow Chaunceys Line Rd for about 2km until you come to a Y-junction. Veer left and continue on Chaunceys Line Rd. After about 1km, you will be on a dirt road.
After 3 more km you will see a large scrub block on the left hand side. Look for the red flags and sign at the gate.
Drive through the two gates (please make sure to close the gates) and follow the track to the car park.
Times
Gates open at 8:15am on game day.
Game times
Morning games run between 8:30am and 12:00pm.
Afternoon games run between 12:30pm and 4:00pm.
All day games run between 8.30 am and 4.00 pm

Heat
We play up to about 35 degrees, then we’ll call it and grab some shade.
Rain
You can play up to and including light showers. No thunderstorms.
Saftey Comes first
At Skirmish SA we are very safety conscious. All games are supervised and controlled by fully trained referees. The priority of our games’ referees is safety and to do that effectively there is no compromise on rules or standards. All players must wear approved face/eye protection at all times whilst on the playing fields. As long as the goggles are worn, paintball is a very safe sport.

BBQ food will be offered at an extra cost
Steak, sausages and salad (coleslaw, potato salad & tossed salad) at $12 per head.
Sausage sizzle $6.00 per head.
Drinks and snacks can be bought at an extra cost.
can i bring my own paint
No you cannot, only paint brought from Skirmish SA can be used at our field.
can i freeze paint balls and play
No you cannot, paint balls need to be playable and create a seal to be fired.
alcohol
No alcohol is permitted during playing hours. If you guns are stored away and your day is finished then you can.
We do not sell alcohol.
How old do i need to be to play
Our minimum age is 12 years old to play.
Does Skirmish SA join groups
No we will not , you have a better time playing with people you know.
